The military has decided I should move to Yuma in 2 months, and I see no climbing gym or outdoor climbing in my early search. Can someone help me out? Is there any hope for my climbing in the area or will I be destined to drive hours to the nearest indoor or outdoor climbing? Thanks!

Sadly, the closest good climbing is 2+ hrs away. San Diego to the west, Joshua Tree to the north, and a couple other places east. I haven't been up to some of the local "mountains" that you can see from town, but the rock is very chossy over all and there aren't any places I've heard about or seen that actually offer climbable surface. It's sad, really.
