I have Rock Climbs in the White Mountains of New Hampshire - 3rd Edition (East Volume) by Ed Webster. It strongly suggests there should be a "(West Volume)", both by the title, and in the text. I haven't been able to find such a book. (Google, Amazon, and other searches.) Does anyone know if such a book was ever written? (East was published in 1996, so there has been time.)

Webster never wrote a West volume. Your best bet is "Secrets of the Notch" by Jon Sykes which covers Cannon and the crags in and around Franconia Notch.

That's too bad -- from looking at the east volume, the west one would have been really nice to have. Thanks for the suggested replacement.

John Sykes was also working on a new guidebook http://thenotches.com/home, but I haven't heard about it in a while.... Find a copy of Secrets of the Notch by Jon Sykes, best and most up to date guidebook for now it seems.
