They don't shrink. They stretch like crazy. I suggest you try them one first but you shoudl probably size down at least a half size from the ascent which is, I believe, a synthetic shoe and doesn't stretch as much.

I love those shoes and have 3 pairs. I would have said they stretch only a little but they definitely don't shrink. Infact, I've never heard of any shoes(climbing or otherwise) that shrink over time.

I got a pair recently (about 3-4 months ago). I like them a lot, and they stretch a fair amount. When I got them I had to work 15 minutes to get them on (only 1/2 a size down), and now they slip on fine, but they are really tight in the toes (width-wise).

Mmmm those shoes are my favorite, I've got a few pairs. For me, they stretch considerably, taking about 10 hours to fully break-in. After the painful break-in period, they are extremely comfortable and fit like a glove. I wear a 12-12 1/2 US street shoe size and an 11 1/2 US in the 5.10 Mocs. My feet are wide.

I have a pair of these and love them. As far as stretch...when I first got mine, they were rather painful to wear now they have stretched out enough that they are just only uncomfortable. They didn't stretch out as much as I had hoped but I wouldn't trade them for the world when it comes to climbing in them. I have to say, I don't really notice the uncomfortableness when I'm actually climbing and I just pop them off in between climbs.

They stretch a frustrating amount. I've had mine less than two months, and they're not only comfortable, but getting... weak? I no longer get anywhere near the tiny-hold-stepping-on power I used to. It's rather a piss off. But they have 6 mm rubber (they might actually last a year), and I just needed something fairly basic for the gym, and they fit my pprice range, so I'll endorse them. But if you want something technical that will never stretch, get the 5.10 Anasazi lace-ups.

I got a pair of the mocs a couple weeks ago and i down sized by like a half or more. I just wore em around my house and like when i would be on my computer i would wear em to stretch em out. They did. They used to be real tight and uncomfortable, now the fit like wool socks. Nice.
