What's the one Whisky that you buy anticipating the upcoming ice season. Let's not forget some of those yummy Irish Whiskeys too!
This year, I have a bottle of Laphraoig 10 y/o and a bottle of Balvenie doulbewood. I'd like to acquire a bottle of Ardbeg before the season is fully underway. Now we just need some ice.

There is a bottle of BruichLaddich up at my parent's house with my name on it. Prolly gunna do more bouldering then ice this winter, though. A nice nip is still welcome after a cold day outside, though, no matter what the activity was.
Nice taste, btw.

Let me know how it is. They are my favourite distillery right now, both because of their whisky and because of their character.

Why just for winter (who does that anyway)?
Single-malt is MUITO expensive down here in Brasil, so I had to bring mine across the border: Highland Park 12yr, MaCallan 10yr, and Highland Park 1998 special edition. All three work just as well during the South American summer.

just a little OT....in summer, we reduce wild berries and other fruit, strain the pulp, then add the juice to the bottle of choice; re-seal the bottles and wait
......blackberries and canadian whiskey is the fave but kiwi tequila was the biggest surprise so far!

Strangely enough Barley, I live about 6 miles from Tuthilltown Gristmill, as the crow flies. I have a bottle of Ralph's Baby Burboun and it is yummy.

totally! we camped on his property some years back when he was just getting the distillery started and allowed climbers to tent out back...should've invested in his operation back then!

Laphroaig is great, it's like drinking scotch around campfire without needing the campfire. Makers Mark is a good go-to as well.
