Hi everyone!

Im spending my whole summer in the US and i miss climbing so much!

Im not advanced climber, but i really want to do something while staying here, i want to get to know the "climbing enviroment" here in the us!

For now i stay in Texas, but after 20 october i can go enywhere. I was thinking about Yosemite or something... I will be in Phoenix for about 8 days after 20 oct, but i dont know exactly when - its up to me, i got to figure it out.

Anyway, maybe there is someone who can climb with me? I would really love to join some group of climbers, especially in september. Unfortunately I dont have car or any climbing equipment with me.

If theres anyone interested please let me know!

Im 21 and im from Poland.

bb, Rachel

While I can't help you on the partner side, I will advise you that while camp 4 in yosemite is known as a great place to meet other climbers there is a time restriction on your camping there, and it can be a hassle getting a spot. Just something to take into consideration.

Best of luck :)

moved from general to South by WW. Good luck finding a partner. I moved it here because Texas is in the South. You might want to post in the West Coast section if you are going to pursue a Yosemite partner.

Thank u for ur reply! So you think that when I go to yosemite alone, i will meet there partners to climb?

What do you mean by saying "time restriction"?

R. :)

There is only a set number of nights you can camp in Camp 4 before they kick you out. I haven't been so I can give exact details but I think it's a week or two.

Rachel,

Where in texas are you now? Would you be interested in indoor climbing? I'm in Dallas and have a membership at exposure climbing gym.

Hi FaviRietti,

I stay near Kerrville, and as I can see on the map its pretty far from Dallas... I cannot move from Kerrville till mid august (i mean i have a 1 day free from work a week, so i cant move so far from the place I stay...).

But i'm really glad u answered on my post.
I'm suprised in fact, cause in Poland when you are looking for a climbing partner, you will find lots in about an hour ;). Is climbing popular in Texas?
Are they any cool places to climb near Kerrville?

And answering to your question, I'm interested in every form of climbing, no matter outside or inside, but outside is much more beautiful ;p

Take care!!!

Hi, Rachel.
If you ever make it to TN, let me know. I have sport gear and am always looking for partners.
