Let's use the internet for it's intended purpose: medical diagnostics.
I started to experience a dull pain in my middle finger's second knuckle after a bouldering session a week ago with crimpy problems. It is still visibly swollen compared to my other middle finger. It starts to hurt once I bend it to 90 degrees or more (compared to having it straight). Any ideas how to hurry up the healing process ? Icing ? Heat ? Gentle exercise ?

does it only hurt when you bend it? is there a pinpoint location of the pain?

Yes, only hurts when I'm bending the finger. The pain feels to come from the whole knuckle. It's not a super sharp pain, so not like I was poked by needles.
