I need a 12mm sds drill bit,
very occasional use in granite. Maybe 6 holes right now.

Recommendations?

For the most part, any quality bit will be fine, esp for 6 holes.

Sure, if this is for bolting, sell your metric wedge anchors and buy 1/2" diameter. I was picking up 6 packs of TE-C3X 1/2 " Drill Bits on Ebay for $35 each couple years back when I went drill/bolt batshit crazy.

When you're installing over 350 1/2 " x 7" long stainless wedge anchors with stainless hangers, nice to find another place to economize some. Keep an eye on them as they wear, if it wears on the side so that it's hard to install the bolt, replace the bit.

Ha - Yeah, I think I got mine when I did a hanger order. If you cruise the FS adds on MtnProj you might find a deal. I got two of my 12mm bits from a guy on there.

Never used these guys but an option - shipping looks to be $7.50 or so

Hilti 2 or 4 head SDS . for 1/2 or 12mm on hard rock you want to drill in two steps. first use 1/4 " drill for pilot hole then 12mm .

you can buy good SS 1/2 bolt on ebay cheap.
