A, hopefully simple question, where I dont get in too much trouble.....
After reading the EDK thread yesterday that someone posted, or I just happen to come across, this video using a chordelette not pretied.

Would you be able to use the same method using just your rope, not a cordelette, and not 'closing the system' like in the video. Leaving one end tied just to you and the other to the climber? Or would you need to close the system.

Yes, but (and there always is one) doing so will use a lot of rope and your masterpoint knot will be epic in size.
There are much better and more versatile methods for building with the lead rope. Here is one of the better threads on the subject - http://www.rockclimbing.com/..._reply;so=ASC;mh=25;
Oh and the system will be "closed" with both of you tied in.

Ok now i see. The images didnt come up on my work computer. I did a search and saw that, but I didnt understand as well without the pics.
