SEXY? Are you kidding me? I think it's the absolute opposite of sexy I feel! I'm all bruised and scratched up, my fingers are all calloused, I'm grunting and cussing my way up the route, I'm glowing with my own perspiration, my pants and shirt are riding up on me, I've got chalk in my hair -- it ain't pretty!!! Your stregth and skills and endurance is hella sexy but physically --kudos to those that can make this sport LOOK 'sexy' outside of their own minds!!

FWIW, Bitterlotus, that description is sooo much sexier than those anorexic Victoria Secret models! Dolled up stick chicks with no muscles are very non-sexy compared to outdoorsey athletic women.

It really depends. If I'm not climbing well, I feel dumb. But if I'm really on...I feel strong and sexy and stuff. Course it helps that I climb with my boyfriend and he tells me when I'm looking good on the wall.

I feel sexy when I climb until another girls comes in wearring a skimpy little tank top and pants or shorts so low her belly's showing. That makes my sexiness wane.
The guys look sexy climbing though! Even some of the highschoolers! (I know I shouldn't think that but really, did guys look that good when I was in school?)

That is the last thing on my mind when I'm climbing. However, I do get a horrendous case of the badasseez after I cruise a route, especially if I just saw a guy NOT cruise it. Does that make me evil?

Sexy? Not too sure about that, but I do agree with enigma in that it sure feels nice to get in the groove and climb gracefully. When I'm flailing, I certainly feel like a gumby... the complete opposite of sexy.
Overall, I think that ANY participant of a sport exhibiting skill, strength and grace could be considered sexy. Other than that, sexiness, to me, involves how a person moves through life, overall. Kindness, humor and grace are key. (okay, enough of the psychobabble).

I know that this question is a "stupid question", and when we climb the last of think is "i'm sexy now??" but, when u are in ur's house and review ur day, and u climb and u have a pretty good climb u feel fine, and i think that "feel fine is like feel sexy"

I don't think 'graceful' is in my vocab! I fell clumsy at best when I climb, and I hate the fact the all my belayer can see of me is by backside, not exactly my best feature! But I have seen other woman who look "gracefully sexy" on the wall.
I have to agree with the post of few back, men look very sexy climbing. Especially when they don't know they look good and are just clmbing really well for themselves (which is sort of rare at the gym I go to!)

I'm with the girls who say 'nay.' Powerful? Maybe. But sexy? No way. It's not a good day of climbing unless I've come away with some sort of cut, scrape, bruise or flapper. After climbing, I am dirty, sweaty, and cut up...sexy is not the word that comes to mind. Although, climber guys may find such a chic sexy. (If you're that type of guy PM me ) And speaking of climber guys, some of them are uncommonly sexy when they are climbing, that's how my ex and I got hooked up in the first place. But I'll venture to say that most of us climb for many reasons, lest among that list is sex appeal.

I feel a little sexy I guess, if I am climbing well. If I am not climbing well, I feel kind of dumb too. But I love it when I am climbing with my boyfriend and he says I look good. He always compliments me on my back- it's very muscular. Is that good? But my bum is something I wish wasn't there! I feel sexy when guys hit on you too (when my boy isn't there! :-))

I am a guy and i read that you a few of you don't feel sexy when you climb. I absolutly love to watch women climb. The grace and fluidness of the movements are just amazing. I climb with a lot of power and some technique, so i just find it amazing when a women can climb what i am and not have to grunt and force the moves to go rather just keep moving smoothly. And that goes for all women athletes in my oppinion. so much more grace and beauty then guys.

when i hit that state of mind where I am at peace... that is when I feel sexy...I always feel sexy when I am happy and relaxed....even if on the outside I have days of caked on sweat and grime from a kickass backpacking trip or climbing trip.
In fact..I am always shocked when i see myself in the mirror after times like that...I think...whatt..who is that grungy girl?! that can't be me..I was feeling sexy!
