I have just started Trad. I was wondering do you need a certain shoe? If so what would that be?

you don't need a certian shoe, but some shoes work better in some areas. Try to find a shoe that will work well in crack and you can wear all day.

i'd check out the gearhead forum as well...they're tons of shoe reviews in there.

it depends on your foot shape,but i were 5.10 pinks,the build quailty is crap but they are still the best boots.

yes, climbing shoes.

Sorry, that was too easy to resist. :wink:

Seriously, anything that fits you well and you can wear for a while. Not a requirement but light colored uppers are a good thing. Your feet can really bake on hot summer days in dark shoes. My current favs are LaSportiva mythos.
