I'll be up at Suicide on sunday I hope. Depends on weather. There are a lot of factors (mainly weather) so I hate to commit to telling you to come and not being there myself!!! Good luck finding a partner. Josh

thanks for the offer guys. But Stoney point is a little too out of the way for me. Idlewild sounds tempting.

I went up to Idyllwild in January before the storms rocked us and it was the nicest weather I've ever had up there! I did fingertrip with my wife (her first multipitch lead!!!) and had a blast. Unfortunately, i've heard bad things about the MAD CRAZY drifts of snow up there now. Hopefully I'll be able to climb at suicide on sunday, although I don't know how long it will take for precipitation to melt and dry if it rains/snows up there tomorrow! 20s at night, 50s during the day Josh

I'd wager that Suicide is climbable this weekend, if a bit chilly, UNLESS there's fresh precip in the next 24 hrs (slight chance of that according to NWS). Last weekend was probably really nice up there. South side of Tahquitz should be climbable as well. N Side probably too cold and possibly still wet in one way or another. Trail to Suicide should be relatively dry. Tahquitz might still have snow on it but not any amount to be a big deal. Maybe take a change of socks w/ you and wear decent shoes and synthetic pants kind of affair. josh

My friend went up to Tahquitz two weekends ago and slipped on the snow at the base of Angel's Fright. He says he tumbled 150' down the snow, then rocks as a result. He was banged up and had to go back down. Not a fun descent injured! I'm hoping that Suicide will get that nice sun I always see from Tahquitz and be at least managable! Josh
