Hey All, My 5 year old needs a pair of shoes quick but I'm too cheap to spring for a new pair he will quickly outgrow. He needs a size 1 or a euro 31 or even 32. Anyone need to recoup something on the shoes your kid outgrew too soon? :D

I have a pair of ninjas(slip ons) worn by my daughter for a year and are in good shape.. She wore them mostly inside and few outside climbs. I can't remember the size I think 2-3 but I'll check. I was going to put them up on ebay but been too lazy. How about 30 for them. Charlie

I will also chime in for some kids shoes (hope you don't mind me sharing your thread!) They make a size 13?? 12 is too tight and 1 is too big for my 6 yr old... Also looking for a 5.5 for my 9 yr old..

You can save some money by getting some of those slip-on water shoes. I got a pair for ~$10 (at Target I think) for my 3 year old and they work quite well. I had originally thought about adding sticky rubber to the soles but they they provide enough friction as is. They don't edge as well as climbing shoes but she can still stand on pretty small holds on vertical problems.

I've also seen kids in regular shoes (keds or some other flat soled shoe) with sticky rubber added to the sole. It's cheaper than buying actual rock shoes.
