It depends on what kind of rock you climb. I like the stoneage one better. But the metolius one is very good for the price. If I got one I would get the metolius one, Because of the ledges and pockets. And its 15 bucks cheaper.

any one else have an opinion.... I also noticed that the mantra has pinch grips and the simulator does not, are pinch grips all that important? Being as your pinch grip gets stronger from just workin the normal grip

I personally enjoy my time upon the Metolius Simulator everyday. This fingerboard provides many different types of holds, with many other variations that can easily be persued by the user. The vigorous My Vote: The Metolius Simulator

I haven't ever seen the stone age manta but it doesn't matter. The Simulator rocks, just got done installing another one at my girlfriend's house. THAT MAKES MY THIRD ONE!!! Too much variety to pass it up.

The simulator has more possibility for variation in training. The manta is better for slopers and pinch strength. I have both. AW

I just got a simulator and it is great I think you would like it. It has good texture and it is great for strength building!
