T-PLUS 3 days into the outage here at Oconee Nuclear in South Carolina... Pretty soon, I will be one of all the king's horses and all the king's men putting Humpty Dumpty back together again. I'm starting to hire more technicians to ramp up to full staff by mid-late October.... Let the games begin.

Hmmmm a nuclear Humpty Dumpty analogy..... No wonder people don't have more faith in our nucear power programs.   Morning all. I need help with a connundrum. I have been planning on going to the Rumney gathering in October for quite some time now. Now I have a chance to hit the Gunks either the weekend before or the weekend after. There is no way I can take two consecutive weekends off of work and my house projects. Never been to either. Where's a nooob go first?  Mike, JEALOUS!!!! Might be heading to Seattle this spring to visit my brother, go see Ranier while I'm there. Maybe hike part of it. You say it's worth the effort?

chad, I was planning a rumney trip earlier this year, and ended up cancelling, but I was honestly worried that as a nonleader, I wasn't going to get to climb anything...... dunno if that factors into the decision...best to wait for Tai's answer, because I don't know the gunks at all.

That's kinda like asking "which should I drive, today - the Bently, or the Benz?", or "which of you two fine ladies should I sleep with first?" In other words, you're gonna have a blast either way. If you want to climb sport, go to Rumney. If you want to climb trad, go to the Gunks. The potentially good thing about the Gunks is that I might be able to show you around, depending on when you arrive. T

...none of you are anywhere near old unless you are older than my dad... which, if I remember the birthday thread, is only charley, and he's the same age as my dad, and that still counts as young. its the sliding "melissa's dad" old age scale...I got a whole quarter when I came up with that one :D

I've been wanting to go to the Gunks all summer!!! And as far as Rainier goes, Yes it's worth the trip! I'd even suggest looking into going to the top brother. You have the time to get in shape and RMI will guide your sorry ass the whole way!!!!!! They even have a fund raiser where all you have to do is get like $3000 in pledge money for the Lung Association, then all you need is airfare of which you say you're already planning on going out there!!!

morning kids (by the way, In Asia, Africa and Central and South America rabies commonly infects domesticated animals such as dogs and cats, but rabies in domestic animals is very rare in Europe and North America.) Another day another dollar. Why am I always broke? That's right I work for a nonprofit. Smack me in the head with a frying pan, all this talk of climbing and I have no climbing in my near future. Things are getting hectic with travel, Mike getting deployed in just over a month, a wedding to go to, etc. etc. etc. it just doesn't end. Outta here in 4 hours for my OK city trip :) oh boy flat land. I'm so excited :)
