Those are some seriously lightweight moves. I'm surprised he didn't include plank and downward dog. I think those moves alone help out the climber.

Well, I think the point of the article was just to introduce climbers to some moves that could help them. If they were really interested, then there are gazillions of books out there to learn from. I agree, though, that downward dog is a great asana. I love it, and it relieves so much tension from my legs and back. Plank, I suppose for arm and upper body strength would be good, but I think that the poses the author was thinking would be most helpful for climbers were limbering asanas, ones that stretch the back, legs, and arms. For me, and maybe it's different for you, plank pose leaves me stiff as, well....a plank. :D
