Anybody know who has climbed the most routes in Josh? The person with the winning answer will get a possible free campsite in HVCG.

You mean the most total routes, or the most in a day? Todd Gordon may have done the most. In a 24 hr day, Mark Bowling and ... did 219 routes. "The only thing better than climbing is a lot of climbing." - Hans Florine

According to the Joshua Tree Climb web site, Tucker Tech is indeed the leading "Local" (defined as people who have done at least 1,000 routes in the Park) with somewhere around 4,500 routes; Big Al Bartlett is #2 with 4,000, T.Gordex around 3,000, Mr. Swain with around 3,000, Dave Haber again around 3,000, then Chris Miller, Dave Evans and Don Reid each with about 2,500. Wow! These guys must have their "quality" discriminators set on zero to amass such prodigous numbers. I barely rank with only 1,500 or so :( . A list can be veiwed at: http://www.joshuatreeclimb.com/History/over1000locals.htm

In reply to: Tucker Tech - 4600 + Al Bartlett - 4000 Todd Gordon - 3000 artm is correct. however, I have been told (by certain people) that Tucker's number is more than what is stated.
