okay, I'm heading down from Dallas on October 19th for the Sharma/Gold event at the draft house. I wanna hit either NARG or SARG while I'm down there. any other Austin-ites going? I'm coming by myself so are the two gyms fairly "hopelessly looking for a belay partner" friendly on Sunday afternoons?

Why would you drive to Austin to climb in a gym? Go to Bull Creek while you are there instead. You'll get all the bouldering you can handle if you don't have a rope partner. It would just seem to be a waist of a drive if you spent your time in a gym. Besides, I'm sure the gyms will be packed.
The South gym has ropes and the North gym is bouldering only. I think they have 2 or 3 ropes but they are more for kids since they are only 15/16 ft. high climbs.
