I've found the search function to be almost 100% worthless during the time I've frequented this site. I don't know why I waited to point this out, but why is that and will it EVER be fixed? Josh

Some people feel that the answer to every question it use the search function

It's one of many things on the "to do" list.

The search function seems to work fine for me. I just did a search for "search function" and this thread appeared on the top of the list.

The issue isn't that it doesn't function, it just doesn't function the best. If you're looking for a specific piece of gear reviewed, etc, it often misses very good threads.

This is a resurrection of an old thread, but I think it's valid. The current search function is overwhelming. I don't really have a suggestion, other than to have it return whole threads, rather than every individual post that matches. The old search broke down a lot, but when it worked I found I was able to find what I was looking for pretty easily.
