so far i'd have to say it was my first big wall aid climb in yosemite - the west face of the leaning tower. overall it was the best experience i've had ... and one of the most beautiful places i've stayed. (fyi, camping on glaciated volcanoes is hard to beat!) i've had other really, really wonderful climbs, too, though.

My wife and I went to the Red River Gorge a few days after we were married... although it was too cold that October, the rock was absolutely DELICIOUS 8) I HIGHLY reccommend it

Les Calanques near Marseille on the French Coast. Camping out by the sea...and beautiful white rocks all around, very quiet.. *sigh*

I'm not sure if it was the climb of my life...but the last great climb was in August, going the direct exum on the grand. Everything clicked--the partner, the rock, the weather, the confidence. Love those days. It seems like the partner is the most critical component of days like this. Nate
