I'm all about heel hooks and hand/foot matches (when I'm in shape to be flexible enough for them!) It's scary. I can turn a 5.7 into a 5.11. ;)

I agree the fig4 is a rarity on rock. My favorite "smooth move" is the "poor man's" variation of the fig4. The step-through. Right hand on jug. Right foot on hold but too high to stand up on (or dyno off). Left hand hold 8 to 10 inches out of reach. The super strong could semi-campus this move, but for the weaker and more style conscious climber... throw left leg over right leg, pivot hips and body around that right foot hold; voile 12 more inches of reach. (Scuming or hooking the left toe way out to the right helps gain even more reach.) Any time my reach comes up short this is the first trick I pull out of the bag. It is a bit committing, however, as it makes for an awkward fall should the right hand jug be not quite so juggy.

Nothing like a good gut wrenching undercling to test your core strength.

I don't know if it is unnecessary ( I don't think so ), or particularly flashly, but I have a tendency to throw a drop-knee on EVERYTHING. If my knee can fold, it will. Probably 'cause I'm more flexible than strong. :)

That would definitely have to be crimping a tiny hold and then matching on my hand to make the next throw closer.
