two croatian mountaineers were killed in an slush avalanche when descending "kokrško sedlo", slovenia in a group of 4. two of the group succesfully avoided being burried and suffered minor injuries. one tried to look for hes buddies while the other went for help. after several hours of walking he managed to get in touch with mountain rescue service. the rescue was mounted immediatelly, 18 people with 4 lavine dogs. the rescue service commander said that they were properly equipped but they shouldnt have been there because recent wet snowfall over older snow base created good avalanche conditions. this is a proof that no mountain is to be underestimated, especially in the winter. "kokrško sedlo" is considered an easy tour in summer. first mountain fatalitys this year.
