Hi everybody, once again I'm gonna be in pennsylvania this weekend and I'm wondering if there's a fun place to top-rope within a couple hours of Edinboro, PA. Please let me know your suggestions!

McConnells mills state park. The bridge is out, go around on 422. There is also sposed to be some at rim rock overlook in allegheny national forest/Kinzu dam area. Never been there, though.

Within a couple hours of Edinboro you could go to Kinzua dam area and check out Rim Rock and Jakes Rock. However I was Jake Rocks this weekend for the first time, and I wouldn't recommend it. Also down in Sigel PA you could check out Beartown Rocks. I will be there this weekend.

Hmm, McConells sounds good because it's on the way to Edinboro where I'm going :-) Is it fun? Are there some good 5.8-5.10 climbs? Thanks!

McConnell Mills has some nice climbing. If you go down the road to Breakneck Bridge, it will be less crowded, and IMO has some nicer routes. It is still part of the park, and if you pick up a guidebook, it will be well documented. The guidebook I believe is $12. Have fun.
