"China Doll" by the Grateful Dead......."Pick up you china doll.......It's only fractured, just a little nervous from the fall". Had that one run through my head a few times after some nasty lead falls On the other hand "Unbroken Chain" is a nice one to have in your head when your doing the change over on a set of rap anchors. I would have to agree with the Boney-M song after seeing Touching the Void", not that I had ever heard of them before seeing the movie.

Not really stuck in my head, but I find myself singing "Yellow Submarine" out loud when I am nervous on a climb.

the bassline from schism just repeats over and over and over through my head for whole climbing trips at a time.... and when i'm schetched out on lead trying to sort through my rack for the correct piece the words start rolling... i know the pieces fit, but i watched it fall away....

At the gym i climb at in cleveland OH, we always listen to (the band called) The Postal Service, and the best song to get stuck in your head is Such Great Heights. Btw, The Postal Service is a great band to climb to. very groovy, passive, yet entertaining music.

The worst song to get stuck in your head, whether climbing or not, is "It's a Small World," followed closely by anything by the Bee Gees. -Jay

Jay, I don't know if you know good music, but you definitely recognize bad music. 8^) Let me add a recently stuck in the head piece of crap... "We Built This City on Rock and Roll" by (why dignify them by mentioning their name?). A true classic for the head: "In the Jungle, the peaceful Jungle, the Lion sleeps tonight" by the Tokens. 40 years and it won't completely go away. its a small world after all, its a small world after all, its a small world SHUT THE FECK UP!

"I am smelling like a rose on my birthday death bed. I am smelling like a rose that somebody gave me, cause I'm dead and bloated" This is the opening line in an STP song, I have no idea what the rest of the lyrics are.

"Copacabana" by Barry Manilow. Yeah, we all hate it, but if it pops into your head it's really hard to get rid off. And if you really wanna p.o your partner, sing "her name was lola..." while at the belay and you WILL infect their head with it as well. 8^)

The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout. Down came the rain and washed the spider out. Out came the sun and dried up all the rain, and the itsy bitsy spider went up the spout again.

the first time i got back on the sharp end after breaking my leg because my foot chip blew i had the song "Mind Games" by John Lennon. I was freaking out the whole time (on a 5.7) thinking my foot chips would go at any second and singing "keep playing those mind games forever" to myself. theres another song by Jim Croce called Age that has the line "I'll be careful while I'm climbing cause it hurts alot to drop, and when you're down nobody gives a damn anyway" i found that song right after i broke my leg and listened to it alot.

Remembered another one that I always get in my head while climbing... Why would I say goodbye? - Larry Schuba. Has these lines, that always come to me while belaying with exposure: I don't know what it is about the edge of a cliff Makes me want to get so close to it I guess this time I finally slipped What a foolish way to end it
