If you're feeling wealthy rent a car (about $170 per week) and a 5 hour drive
or catch a train (2 and a bit hours at 360 kph, then a very slow bus and hitch to les Geurins) (look on
http://www.raileurope.com/us/rail/fares_schedules/index.htm
).
for detailed maps look at viamichelin.com and cosiroc (confusing but it has all the access data)

I might see you there

From Gap, drive west on road CD 994 direction Veynes. At La Freissinouse, take CD 19 south direction Sigoyer. In Sigoyer, go west on CD 219 to the Col des Guérins (pass, elevation 1312 m), park your car at the pass or on the right before a hut.

to go to Gap :

1) by car : 665 km for 6 hours. Take highway A6 to Lyon, then A43 and after that A48 to Grenoble, then A480 and after that route N85 to Gap.
see (site in french) http://www.viamichelin.com/...ce=0&strDestChoice=1

2) by train from the station Paris-Austerlitz : either night train (like 10 PM in Paris and 6 AM in Gap, or day train (TGV = high speed train) 6:40AM in Paris, arrival Noon 30 in Gap.

Hope it helps.

the nearest cities are La Freissinouse and Sigoyer (département : Hautes-Alpes, 05)... Gap is only at 20-25 km from the crag...
