today, I was on a higher line (10 feet) and 12m long. At the middle I decied to start seeing hot high I could bounce. So I started bouncing and about 20 seconds later my feet flew off and I landed on my back whipper my head into the ground...that was about 5 hours ago and I still have a head ache...ouch!

hehe, dork

I always come off it and have the line pull my foot back up so my heel is driven into my ass. Doesn't hurt my butt so much as it does pull my quads.

Oh and then there was that time when I tried to jump on it and rolled on my ankle

but that was one bad fall out of thousands

I was trying to use it like a trampaline...guess that wasn't such a good idea, eh? I still have a slight headache, but it's not bugging me anymore.

That sounds quite amusing.

Next time, make sure someone takes pictures so we can laugh at your expense (even more than we already do).

That was just plain mean.

But a very good Idea.

Kudos to you!

Slackline accidents can be the best to watch. The other day one of my friends wanted to try it and when he fell he straddled the rope and ended up with a super wedgie and a higher pitched voice. He didn't get on it again after that.

Ouch!

What's the best way to tie a slackline so it stay's tight or should I say taught?

I wrap a sling around a tree, clip a biner to the sling then clove hitch the line to that biner. Then I set up a 4 point Z pully and tighten it like a bitch, then wrap it around the tree trunk (or pole, whatever) and double half-hitch it. works great, but as I said, if you fall off it snaps back up and either hits your man boobs or spanks you like Juliana

That slacklining can definitely hurt you. I draw the line when it hurts my climbing. I once messed up my little toe when the line popped off the side of my foot but didn't let go of that little piggie. It was a few days before I could even get a climbing shoe on. Luckily I was sport climbing for a while, but a month later I tried to crack climb and it hurt so bad... I grabbed my toe and pulled it and it seemed to pop back. It doesn't match the other one, but at least I can jam my feet. I always wear some sort of shoe or sandal now when I slackline.
I have seen people get whipped in some rather painful looking places, not to mention all sorts of spills. It sure is fun though.
