I'd throw in as well, but it seem silly to sluice donations from the 'fiend fund' over to the 'push fund'

now it looks like i'll be going for sure, but i'll be driving a rental car in from nevada so i won't be able to give any denver climbers a ride. i'll still bring enough gear for 2-3 complete trad racks for people to try out, and i'll be there mostly to do 5.8 and under multipitch trad routes for anyone interested in learning to trad climb or wanting to know more about multipitch climbing.

I think depending on exact numbers of how many people show up we might have to do this every year.

Hey all ya all Just a reminder to anyone who will be camping out: BRING WARM STUFF! It is snowing outside my window here at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon right now. It is forecasted to stop soon and warm up again but Tanner Flat campground is at roughly 7,000 feet so the nights will be chilly this time of year even if it's not snowing. I'd hate to see people freezing their petooties off at night and not have enough rest to fire all the routes they want to during the day! Aside from this little disturbance, the weather has been SPECTACULAR with highs around 60-75 degrees. I'll bet the City of Rocks has been spectacular (when it hasn't been raining) cool weather and lots of sun! It tends to get bloody hot in the summer, if you can't find a route on the shady side of the rock you can't stand to climb.

Whether it should be here or not, Litedawg, I was in the city last weekend-it was splendid weather. Even the 200 mile an hour wind gusts hitting us at the top of Elephant rock were pretty cool considering we had walky-talkies to talk with the belayer on the ground. It was crowded though and I want to warn anyone thinking about going up there on a weekend to call the ranger station in Almo and reserve a camp spot or you'll be dirt camping in the overflow area. We had total serenity out by the glacier in site #73, one of the ones you have to hike to out of the Decadent wall parking lot. Great fun especially if you climb hard 10 or 11 so you can avoid the crowds. There are just so many classic easy routes that sometimes it's hard to do anything else!
