No wonder MEC is clearing the old ones out.

So basically they're identical to old old rocks (as opposed to the new old rocks that are shown in the article). Man I love progress.

Edit to note: my rocks were purchased in 1982.

Well the main difference (except a slight decrerase in weight) is the sizes at the upper end of the scale. According to my friend who visited DMM plant (which BTW makes cams and nuts for WC) saw them. Those biggest sizes are huge, think at the size of hexes.

I have played with a set of these for a few months (trade show in Germany my bosses went to) and compared to BD nuts they are far better. The increase in size is amazing, they have a slightly diffrent sidewall taper and weigh enough to merit buying a new set if you have the cash. I have compared a fullish set and it is much lighter and nicer than any other rocks i have use/played with. They are the way forward, but once again Americans immediatly love BD because there gear is to them superior...

Why do they have to color all the nuts that come on the market now. That is so goofy.

Annodized nuts are great - especially once you learn the colors -- you realize what colors fit in what place, meaning you can grab yer nuts and place with a minimum of effort.

Nice innovation.

Now, if they made an offset version they might actually approach the usefulness of an offset HB.

I have both (WC and HB offsets).. but, Amen to that.
