Lacking motivation to get fit? to lose weight? This is the best thing I've ever seen for self motivation, taking a picture of yourself every day and posting it to a website that you've told all your friends/family about. http://www.johnstonefitness.com/all/front/w.php isn't it funny how as he gets progressivly fitter he shaves his chest, starts wearing necklaces and gets tanner?

Seems shallow, superficial, and largely inapplicable to climbing. Just as important as your physical makeup is your mental state and conditioning. Perhaps a more appropriate exercise would be everyday to record your thoughts in a log or journal that is centered around your progress and efforts toward training. No need to make a website, no need to share with family and friends.

In reply to: isn't it funny how as he gets progressivly fitter he shaves his chest, starts wearing necklaces and gets tanner? ..And putting oils on himself, and sticking his elbows out more, and bleaching his hair, and switching to boxer-briefs and shaving his legs...

I think the order of pictures is backwards and you're really seeing a guy get old and fat.

I think I'll call photoshop on this guy. I don't think it's possible to place your head in the exact same position every time.

My point in sharing this website was it's merit as a motivational technique. He's not a climber true, but fitness is a part of climbing as it is in all sports. If you search the site more you'll find that he has posted pictures every day, not just every week. Also he has posted his diet, which gives more credibility to his case. This is probably not for most people, but it's just an interesting idea, so I thought i'd share it.
