Canada. :D

Similar culture, but with less fear, less cultural segregation and more compassion for your fellow man.

... We'd love to have you.

That's what I've heard -> www.marryanamericam.ca

Canadians RULE!

Mexico is where it's at. It's a beautiful country and there is lots and lots of good climbing there. I'm sure you've heard of El Potrero Chico, which is just epic, that's up north somewhat close to the US border, but there is lots of great climbing throughout the coutry to the south. I've climbed quite a bit at some of the spots in the Mexico City area, which are sweet. The town of Pachuca (I think that's the name) would be a good spot. Beautiful, mountainous area, good climbing close by. There are lots of expats who are fed up with it all already down there in quite a few cool towns, but especially San Miguel de Allende and a few other towns. Mexico is cheap, fun, it has a great culture, friendly people, i love it.
xpmexico.com is a good site to check out for climbing topos and info.

It depends upon your income and net worth and how many hr/yr you work, family etc.

the financial considerations dwarf anything else.

as a starting place look into preimmigration trusts

thanks for the beta, hearing lots of good stuff on NZ.

Aside from English I think I can understand their Route Grades as well. . . The Aussies just use a number counting up from 1 to 35 or so. WOW!!!

Sounds like I should open a new bank acount. A pre-immigration trust is not subject to tax in New Zealand.

My call is go on a dirtbag's adventure around the world, you can pick up a plane ticket that circles the globe relatively cheaply, and then travel on the cheap and get to know the local cultures for yourself, and then decide where you want to live.

I love Europe a lot, but I made the call to settle in Canada primarily. The world is your oyster.

Cheers,
Nik
