"If you want bad smells check out a tiny hockey locker room with 15-16 plus players with equipment that rarely gets aired out and never washed. Now that smells bad. If you b---- about it you'll be lucky to just get some nasty piece of old clothing in the face" What he said - plus maybe a coach who is puking in the bathroom after too much to drink from the night before

In reply to: Now I'm just a newbie, but if you didn't like the gym then why did you go there more five times? Plus, your critisism was a little harsh. I've climed there before, and it did smell kind of funky but it wasn't that bad. nice thread resurrection you noob.

The Oz? The Wizard of Oz? The Ozman Commeth? Ozzie Smith? Ozzy Osbourne? I don't think I know any other "Oz's" other than those. Oh yeah, and even I, who enjoys a good flaming of a fellow rc.com'er once in a while, didn't start until my post count was atleast in the double digits... :P...but remember kids..."the SaskClimber" is all about the good vibes :D

Who cares if the people there were not nice to you, its about climbing not socializing. I spend quite a bit of time there and I've never seen any hangdogging on any of the walls, even when the place is at compacity you never have to wait for a route. If your sacred about getting your feeling hurt stay at home with you mommy.

In reply to: Who cares if the people there were not nice to you, its about climbing not socializing....If your sacred about getting your feeling hurt stay at home with you mommy. First of all, the social aspect of climbing gyms is one of the best things about [most] them. I have met many people at climbing gyms that I have become close friends with. I'd rather go to a gym with friends (social) than by myself (not social). If I went to a gym, and the people there were not nice to me, do you think that I'd soon be wanting to go back? even if it was a good gym? Also, trying to burn somebody by telling them to stay at home with their mommy isn't the best way to make an entrance into rc.com on your first post... just my .02 though, so have a nice day and grow up a bit...

I am sorry if my post has offended anyone. It was not my intention to "flame" anybody. I was just pointing out that going to the same gym five times and complaining about it is not logical. and yes i know :deadhorse:

I've only been climbing there this year (2009), about twice a week, and have found most of the people to be super friendly and the routes get changed regularly. From 4-9 the ICC is usually packed, to the point where you have to be put on a waiting list to get in! I believe they are planning on building a new, much larger indoor gym (both top rope and bouldering), assuming it got passed in the last election.
