I was climbing over the weekend and while on belay, my partner accidently dislodged a piece of rock the size of a beeper. Realizing that it was going directly for me he started shouting out ROCK, ROCK, ROCK. At the time he was run out about 15 feet beyond his last clip, I was very concerned with him falling and did not hear the Rock shout till it was too late. The rock hit me in the face. Initially I thought I lost all the front teeth, but the rock only shattered the root of one of my front teeth. I am very lucky I only lost one tooth and I know it could of been alot worse. My question is, has this type of injury happened to anyone else? I realize that I am very lucky as this could of been alot worse, and yes I am getting a helmet (promised my mother!)
