I was having a fun day, ziplining, climbing and slacklining when i thought it would be fun to tie 20ft of cordlett to the zip line and jump off the cliff. There was ariver below me so iwas wasn't really interested in how my legs loops were sitting,I don't know why. Anyway, I jumped, pinced my (take a wild guess) and landed in the river loosing one shoe. I got to limp out of the canyon with one shoe on. Ever happen to you?

sorry but I just have to laugh at that one. My sincere sympathy to you and your friend, but you reminded me so much of my guy friends who have done that. We are all fairly new to the sport, except one, so don't feel bad you are not alone.

That which does not kill us makes us stronger. Also childless perhaps, but stronger .

P.S. good hours-long soaks in the bath do wonders for negating the unpleasant effects of gravity after such an injury

  Cider, huh?

You know, I'm not as curious to find out if it actually works, as I am to find out how you came to that conclusion?

Maybe curious isn't the word...frightened seems to fit better.

WOW "dude, I'm sorry" ???

and "soak it in a bath" or "cider" ???

Thats gggrrreeEEAAATTT!!! stuff

But, I think you all are giving him the wrong advice though...

"I decided to jump off the cliff"

I think he'd be better off having his skull checked (notice I didn't say head) I can recomend a good neurologist if you'd like...

How 'bout (at the risk of sounding like your mother) "don't do that again!"

Have fun and try to not kill yourself (or your brain muscle for that matter)

The big guy is feeling better and i got some new shoes, but how did you find out that soaking it in cider helps? Just sittin' around in pain and think "Hmm, what if a soak them in my juice?" Glad everyone got a laugh from my injury, it is funny for everyone but me and him.

woah man, sorry to hear about your recent injury. try rigging up a chest harness next time you wanna fall for much of a distance. spreads the weight to other places than just your john thomas. see a doctor if there is any unusual discharge, blood, puss, any leaking fluid could be a sign of a ruptured urethra or other internal unjury that could seriously hamper the ol' trouser snake's functionability.

Soak it in Cider? Trousersnake? I thought that I had heard it all.

I recommend a Swedish Nurse (No offense Swedish members) to help with the therapy. Don't ask why, but if my "buddy" was already hurting, that's what I would want to help ease the pain.
