Hey All,
Just moved to the Valley from Montana and am looking for a weekend warrior partner (too bad I have to work all week) to climb in the Santa Monica's and elsewhere. I am not "hardcore" by any means. I can trad/sport lead at about a max onsight of 5.8ish and can climb on toprope up through 5.11 though it's quite a push in that range. Anyway, send me a private messege or contact me here!

Welcome to LA!

If you're in the valley then you have Stoney Point not too far away(in Chatsworth)

Climb safe

Hey, I'm a beginning climber looking for partners to climb. I started climbing about 2 months ago, and almost exclusivly in the gym at UCLA (where im a student)

It would be great if one of you more experienced guys could show me the ropes (no pun intended) of outdoor climbing. Would really love to learn how to set up anchors for top roping.

I would be happy to pick you up, drive and buy you food. 8^)

In the gym I climb at about a 5.10a level/ v1 bouldering (with some v2)

Please feel free to email me or call me at 310 503 4884. My name is Alan. I will be free all winter break up to the 6th of January, free to climb weekdays or weekends.

Ok where do you go if you dont go to to Williamson? I mean how cold is it? And if no one goes there doesnt it mean all the climbs would be open for me? Williamson is 45-50 min away from me; I live in arcadia, any similar sport climbing places you guys recommend?

Malibu State park is about 37 miles from you and mapquest quotes it as 37 minutes(I would double that with traffic)...some good stuff there. It's very warm too.

It snows there during the winter... good places nowadays are Malibu Creek, Echo Cliffs, Tahquitz/Suicide, and Jtree.
