oh, rock, what a beautiful Loki! (ok, and sarah is too!) ;) from one mischief maker to another, my Loki says ooooo -wwwwwoooooooo!!!! http://www.rockclimbing.com/...p.cgi?Detailed=38912 morning kids, rainy rainy day here in CT... love the forecasters - yesterday we were gonna get 12 inches of snow starting today. last night they finally changed their tune. Rain. Ugh. what a weird winter. We keep getting snow, losing it, getting it, losing it. Frustrating. Now this will all freeze tonight and be slippery tomorrow. Oh well. Gotta get some work done ;)

ah annie, your babes are too cute with griff! I hear ya wide, I don't commute so I don't mind the snow, but both the boys were glad we got rain so they didn't have to plow and take an hour to get to work 10 miles away! I just wanted some snow to go dogsledding on this weekend :( no such luck. Oh well, we're headed to northern NH to see my dad next weekend and do some snowmobiling so that will be fun - they've got plenty of snow up there. Rock, indeed, huskies are so independant and strong willed... yet so dependant at the same time it's funny. Loki will talk back so much... act all upset and pissed off at you... then next thing you know she's up on the couch with you and her head is in your lap!

Somehow I suspect the kids will be somewhat put out by the resulting respiratory distress. They're both highly allergic. Plus, I'm gone for 12 hours a day, the burden of walking and cleaning up after the pooch would fall to my already overworked wife. But mostly it's the allergies.

That's unfortunate Wide. Dogs are definetly one of the great joys/aggrevations in life. I assume that the children are allergic to all breeds, because it is my understanding that certain breeds(short hairs I think) are less likely to cause irritation to the allergy prone.

I assume that the children are allergic to all breeds, because it is my understanding that certain breeds(short hairs I think) are less likely to cause irritation to the allergy prone. Actually that is a fallacy. There is no such thing as a truly non-allergenic dog. Not the"hair vs, fur" variety, not the bald ones. There are breeds that produce lessere effects in some, but none that are truly free. The allergy is actually caused by the proteins in the dander and saliva and urine and even hairless dogs produce some quantity of those. According to most of the "experts" you actually have a better chance of finding a particular pup within a single litter that produces less of a reaction than you are being sure any particular breed is going to be tolerable. That said my older son is severely allergic, to the point where going to my in-laws house produced a reaction months after their dog had died and the carpets had been steam cleaned etc etc etc. so I'm afraid at this point I'm SOL in the puppy department. Which is a pity because both boys LOVE dogs, but one lick in the face or a good snootful of fur and we're on Benedryl cocktails for days. Plus, like Dookie said, I'm only 5 weeks from having my own pooping, drooling, destructive bundle of another kind. 8^)

Morning ya'all I wish i could have a dog too, but kate's alleggic to them. I miss my dogs. I had a Lab, husky mix. She looked like a yellow lab but had blue eyes. she was a great dog. But I'll have to stick to my gimby Cat "floyd" aka "annie" :D . You see she has a bad front leg so we rescued her from the pound. We almost named her annie because she limps around all the time. Ben

Morn' folks! @Jen nice to hear you're okay. Quite a story, those roses you got. Strrrrrange... Seems that community got sexed up a little lately. Wasn't there a monopol running for the coffee shop? Too much is too much... May leave office in a few minutes. Glad this day is over... - Daniel

Jen, sounds pretty clear to me that this dude has some issues in his marriage. Tread carefully! Or just shag him silly, what the hell.
