More Info:
I've been climbing since 1982, but I tied to the end of the rope for the first time in April of 1980 (I guess, I am almost ol' timer) Started in Tatra Mts - both sides of the border - Poland and Czechoslovakia - and sometimes I crossed those borders illegaly just to make a climb, and yes, just to buy fine Czech's beer, anyway, I climbed trad, ice and mix in the Tatra, French Alps and Gharwal Himalaya(Kedarnath,India). In 1989, I sold everything I owned, i.e., climbing gear and bought ticket to America. I've been living in Colorado since 1991. Did 38 14ers, and looking forward to climb them all. in the last three years, I climbed volcanoes in Ecuador( Cotopaxi), mountains in Bolivia (H. Potosi) and Nepal(Island Peak), was trekking in Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego. On the low gravity day I can lead trad 5.8-5.9, but I can run up at 20K feet really fast, and living at 9400 feet in Colorado made me somehow acclimatized. I would go anywhere and try to climb anything, but safety first. As much as I love the mountains, I still believe that there is no mountain I want to die for.
