This is THE guide for climbing in the Salt Lake Area. There is so much quality rock in these canyons that no guide can do it justice, but this book will give you a to-do list several years long. Each area has a map, most have a photo of the area, and almost all have detailed topos. The copy I share has been through some serious abuse and is holding up very well. My only complaint is the lack of topos for all areas (though coverage is very good), plus I'd like to see a few more photos.

Great guide book especially if you are in the Salt Lake Area. I origionally purchased this guide to find some climbs with a friend since we had no Wasatch front knowledge. Over the past year or so I can say i have found some great spots to climb. In fact we found some spots in the book that don't even have trails anymnore becasue no one goes to them. It was great...just like having our own climbing area. Also the book is very durable as has been mentioned. We bring it up on the mountain with us and its still going strong. The cover is water resistant and to my suprise resists being folded and creased as well. My copy had the cover folded sharply in half by accident...and when i folded it back the crease disapeared!

I own the previous edition of this book, Rock Climbing Utah's Wasatch Range. This book contains all the history, information, and routes for a lifetime of climbing. As for durability, my copy has logged plenty of time at the crags and was run over by a bus and three cars, and is still in great shape. This guide is an indispensable tool for Wasatch climbers and an interesting history for anyone else interested in the Wasatch front canyons.
