Description
The Kestrel 32 Daypacks panel-loading design allows quick access to all your gear, and Osprey beefed it up with features youd usually find only on larger overnight bags. A front stretch-Lycra pocket provides a quick place to stash your shell, and two hip pockets keep your camera, compass, and a snack readily available. An AirScape back panel provides support with stiff, molded foam instead of heavy, totally rigid aluminum stays. Osprey even gave the Kestrel 32 Daypack two ice axe holders and Stow-On-the-Go trekking pole attachments to carry all your walking and climbing accessories.

Pros: Has a lot of room 38L. I can fit a 60 m rope, 2 harnesses, 18 Quickdraws, 15 loose biners, lots of (webbing, slings, and Cords), Some trad pro, 5 Liters of water (3L Camelback + 2 2L jugs, and extra stuff.
Roughly about 45lbs of gear and water and it feels very comfortable.
The mesh on the pack is very durable have hauled it up rough granite faces and barely and signs of wear and tear.
Cons: the pack lid isn't adjustable so it seems as though you loose some space and the ventilation is not that great still sweat a lot. (However what can you expect 45 Lbs and 100 degree heat.)
Great pack with a lot of purposes.

I've had this pack for about a year now. I have yet to use it on a serious packing trip, although I've used it for climbing expeditions, camping, and backpacking through Europe. It's the perfect size for me (although I'm a light packer), and the construction overall is excellent. I had a buckle break so I took it back to the retailer, they sent it to Osprey, and they fixed within a couple weeks at no charge. A very comfortable pack that looks great, too!
