I bought this device to make the Silent partner's deceleration a little more gentle as it really can kick you to an abrupt stop. I have 2 meters of 10.2 blue water threaded through all 6 holes with the loop at the smallest (top left) hole with a 20-30ft fall it'll pull about 5ft right through it... but really a nice cushiony stop. If you climb alone you have to have a silent partner and the Kong shock absorber... really the best!!!
