Another good video from BU 5 out of 5 stars

Review by: sticky_fingers, 2007-10-25

I liked it very much. The quality of the filming was the best I've ever seen in a climbing movie. Music was cool; not necessarily going to get you pumped, but good, and sometimes seemed to "go with" the on-location shots. Contrary to most, I liked the interviews/dialogue; I felt like I was getting to know the climber, even if in a limited capacity. I don't know what else to say...it lived up to my expectation.

If your hands don't sweat watching this, or you don't feeling like shouts words of encouragement at the screen, or you don't feel the frustration during the "almost" attempts, than you're probably jaded. There, I said it.

very good 5 out of 5 stars

One of the best edited climbing dvd I own. Sharma is inspiring as usual, as all the other climbers in the video. Beautiful places, fantastic routes..what you want more?

Good, but not King ; ) 4 out of 5 stars

I love watching Sharma climb. His dynamic style is inspirational enough for me. Like carabiner96, the music didn't do anything for me, but I was too focused on Sharma's climbing. Still, I would have liked a film with a wider variety of climbers. If there is truth in 'advertising,' this movie probably made Sharma feel somewhat uncomfortable (just my guess/opinion).

ok by me 5 out of 5 stars

Sick movie
Some of the dankest routes ever
Comparable to autoroute but with sharma instead of graham, but filmed way better
sharma pulled it off without looking like an asshole
2 thumbs up

Didn't live up to the hype 3 out of 5 stars

The cinematography was excellent and the locations inspiring, but Sharma comes off very flat. Music didn't really get me psyched, watched more like a documentary than a climbing movie. Which is fine, but I didn't pay $30 to watch a documentary!

The thing is, it is just a climbing movie, despite the egos that accompany this bloated production. It's beautiful, and he's arguably the worlds best climber, but the way people are selling their firstborn child to rave about it....its a bit much.
