Really Nice 5 out of 5 stars

Review by: skitzboy, 2009-06-08

The dyneema runners by Mammut really cut down on bulk, when looking at nylon runners. There are a few things that I would use nylon runners for but not many. I have about 15 of the standard length, two double length, a triple length and 4 dog bones. I really like the way they insert one end into the other then use their tag to blend it all together. This causes it to slide smoothly rather then haging up where they are stiched together like the black diamond runners. I highly recommend them although they are a bit on the expensive side.

pricey but worth it 5 out of 5 stars

mostly what everyone else said, the weight isnt a big deal, but the bulk is much nicer with these guys. I like to keep a few nylon ones around for autoblocks and such, but these definitly make up most of my alpine draws.

Wicked light, I love them. Wish they had higher dynamic properties, but whatever. They don't absorb water really, make nice sling-draws, and contrary to popular belief, work fine for friction hitches. Trad climbers can now lighten up.

Great slings. I've got mostly these on my rack, and they've yet to show me a major downside. The only small complaint I have is they start to get fuzzy after only one or two uses, but I havn't had a dangerous amount of wear on one yet.

Light, thin, strong, what more could a climber ask for?
