Review 4 out of 5 stars

Overall, I like them. They aren't the smoothest action and amazing materials finish that you might get from say a BD, but at the same time, they aren't hard to place, they are damn light for the price and have a decent expansion range. Considering I picked up all 7 for $210, I consider it a bargin.

The triggers do have a tendency to ride up, but I've ran into this on other cams as well. I put a tiny dab of silicone on the tigger holes where it meets the wire and it hasn't done it since.

The smaller sizes place fine and I never found the larger ones to walk as long as they were properly extended.

The Pulsars are much more stable than the robot cams (which have been known to walk in larger placements), granted you have to have a wider placement to support the wider head as well.

I wouldn't take them over a nice set of BDs for large and aliens for small, but they certainly beat the heck out of not having any cams.

My recommendation, if you can spare the cash, go with the higher dollar cams, but if it's these or hexes, get these.

i only have the #7. it tends to walk pretty easily, probably due to the low weight and weak spring. Also the cable on the trigger can slip through the holes and maintain the lobes in a fixed sideways or even backwards orientation. this may be more of an issue with the largest one. taking price and function together i'd say you get what you pay for. it will work and it can save your life but placing it will take more care.
