Review 4 out of 5 stars

Not great for everything, of course, but exceptional in flares and in scars. These and a more standard shaped micronut will cover most tiny placements.

Great workmanship. Got them originally for aid but have been using the larger sizes for trad.

Inflight said it right. These things work great. They're my favorite micro nuts. These are recommended for aid climbing only, and if you see them, you'll understand why. The 0 size looks like they used piano wire. If you're going to free climb above one of these pieces, use a screamer! I admit to climbing above a 3 without a screamer, and that was the SCARIEST 5 footer I've ever taken! It bent the wire up pretty bad, but if held.

I've used the larger brassies in trad climbing and they work well in flaring constrictions such as pin scars and pockets. I have found more placements with these nuts than BD stoppers covering the same range. In fact, I have found more placements with all HB offsets than the standard nut. These brassies are small and hence the holding power is lower than a bigger nut, in theory. Know what you are getting into before you run it out on a brassie. In fact, you should not.
