great helmet

reasonably priced, can be adjusted easily to fit your head, and extremely light.

I got the larger size, and i have to expand it all the way in order to fit a balaclava or hat underneath, but other than that, this thing is great. Never gets too hot with the vents, pretty light, and strong. Saved my head several times. Probably not as durable as the beefy ecrin roc, but definitely cheaper, might go for the ecrin when this thing bites it though. A few of my friends have the BD halfdome, and all of theirs got cracks and stress marks from dropping them on the trail, packing them in the car, just the same as my helmet, only mine shows only a few scuff marks.

This helmet is over rated. It is cheap and light, but it feels like it will not stand up to much! Also you get a nice red pressure point on your forehead after wearing it.

I love this helmet. One world, one helmet. Decent price, solid construction, decent ventilation. I'd get a meteor III if I had the bucks, but I like that I can be a little rougher with the Elios. And no, mine is not that cheezy bright orange color.

Pros:
Ventilation is great.
Headlamp clips work surprisingly well.
not as snug on the head as the Erin Roc, though it's close.
