It took some time to get used to it.
You have to use some force to get the biner lock on to the Squid.
I have used it with routes that have a scary first clips, and also with heavy routes that I have trained on.
The belayer can give you the pole up in the route, so you can clip even higher up in the route.
I love the product (you may figured it out?)...

Very useful for putting the quickdraw on the bolt (and also rodeo clipping - putting the rope in the quick). As for taking the quick off the bolt, I've found it more difficult than need be. If you're gonna steal, why not just clip your way to the anchors and clean while coming down? At least then you're only half a pansy.

Good idea, but it seems that it's not great to use. I've used one and it just seems like the swingarm is a little loose, causing it hard to get the draw on the bolt and then to get the squid off of the now clipped draw. It'd be a lot better to just make a stick clip or use a stick at the crag.

Decent. The type of pole that you use will either hinder or help it's use. Go for something that isn't a "twist lock" and you should be fine. The extra secret beta for this is that it works the best with key gate biners.

Sure is harder to use than the websites makes it look. Still does it pourpose but not sure if it is worth the money
