The best stove I have ever used. Now that you can buy a pan adapter and base stabilizer, there is no reason to get anything else if you are in the market for a stove. It is amazingly efficient; it boils a lot of water for the weight of a canister. When I backpack and climb with my friends and they bring a whisperlite, we inevitably end up using my stove just because there is no fuss associated with it.

The standard for backpacking stoves. It has always gotten the job done for me, but sometimes it has taken some work to get it to burn cleanly when the jet has gotten very dirty. I eventually get it to work which says something about its field maintainability.

This is a big pack, but carries weight extremely well. I have carried up to 100 lbs in mine and been amazingly comfortable (no bruises after a full day). If you have to carry that much weight there is no perfect solution, but this is about as close as it comes for for a pack. Some people complain that it is too heavy, but if you are carrying a big load, the extra weight for having a bomber suspension system is worth it. Its a great pack and if you are looking in the 6000+ cu in department you should give this one some serious thought.
