Never had crampons on mine. Comfortable to the top of Mt. Whitney, though. The rands separated pretty badly, but that's probably just because they are so flexible in the toes. That makes them difficult to waterproof, though. I've been known to fastpack to work and back in them if I have too much energy. My brother wants to borrow them on his next trip to Yellowstone. I wish he wore a different shoe size. I'll have to wear my Vasques instead for a week (yes, they're my tennis shoes).

I was a little peeved when I first got this set because of the texture being so different from my Metoulius and Morganic holds and the texture differs from hold to hold. Some are kinda slippery, and others are sharp and abrasive. I have to be a lot more careful on (some of) the slopers, but the set even has a couple decent dual-texture holds, which I didn't expect. The finish isn't as refined as some more expensive holds, but who's complaining for $119?
I'd give a higher rating, but they weren't even shipped for 2 weeks after they had my money. If they have too many orders, they should just hire more employees.

Like everyone else, I think what makes the grigri great is what it wasn't designed to do. I modified mine to allow rope to flow more easily through it. Toss a clove hitch around a water bottle at the end of your rope for weight, and it's great for solo TRing. It's never failed to catch me, and I can rap down after a fall if I'm too pumped to get back on the cliff.
