The helmet fits well. There are adjustment wheels above each ear so you can adjust the helmet to fit over a baseball cap or bandana or balaclava or even just your head. It's a bare bones helmet with a color choice of white, red or yellow. I was going to have my children decorate it but there is a manufacturers warning not to paint the helmet or add stickers because the chemicals in the paint or stickers might alter the chemical composition of the helmet.

My 7 1/2 year old daughter has used one since she was 3 1/2. The harness is safe and comfortable once it is adjusted. The website says it is for children from 25 to 80 pounds so there is plenty of room to grow into this harness. The adjustments take time and patience both for the adjuster and the child in the harness, squirming to get out and climb. She wants another harness like her bigger brothers but I want to keep her in this harness until it won't fit because it's very safe and there is no way she can fall out of it even if she inverts.

This is the first book I purchased about Rock Climbing. The book is fairly comprehensive and the last chapter, Analysis, is excellent as it takes the reader through a number of actual anchors and describes the pros and cons of each system. I read this book before I took a Top Rope Anchor course and it really helped.

This is an excellent book to start the Big Wall/Aid Climb education. I read things in the forums that I don't understand. I look at the Big Wall photos and I see things that are incomprehensible. This book explains the techniques and equipment that are used to scale the Big Walls. I highly recommend it.

I've had mine for four years. They have gone through many soccer seasons, bike trips and now climbing. They have been dropped, thrown and kicked. I fill my three up with water and then freeze them for the hot, humid days around here. I dropped one that was full of frozen water one time and saw a crack that went from top to bottom. I thought I had finally broken one but it was just the ice cracking inside the bottle. The bottle was barely scratched. I clip them on my rack (actually I make my children haul them on their racks). The only downside is that they really sweat around here when frozen.
