I really like this device. When I first got it I thought the high frictiong mode was overkill so I never used it. Now that I climb with partners heavier than me (some over 200 lbs.) I use it all the time. I really like the ability to lower someone with much more control. It feeds rope fine if it's under 10.5. Fatter than that and I'm short roping my partner. That's its biggest downside.

The device is indestructible. I've dropped it a few times, once off the edge of Parkinglot Rock at the City of Rocks, and it did't even get a scratch. I plan on using this ATC for a long time.

Just bought a slightly used one at the local ski swap. You can't beat it for $10. The fleece makes for a very comfortable waist strap. This model also has a belay loop.

Works great. Is a bit heavy and thick for my tastes but for a first rope it is fine. Have had little trouble with kinking or coiling. Had to mark the middle with a sharpie.

I love the simple nature and comfort of this harness. My friend had it for a while and I loved using it. It just so happens I got one for my birthday. Great comfort for rappeling, and the unfixed leg loops are very comfortable. I really like the simplicity, in that there are no adjustable leg loops, and four gear loops is enough to hold plenty of draws and biners for any climb short of big wall. I would recomend this harness for anyone.
