There's a reason why the ATC is so popular. Very few climbers are unhappy with this belay device's performance, and rightly so. It is basic and very very effective at what its made for. My favourite belay/Rappel device out of all the ones I've used

At 47g per biner for a full size biner, these are pretty light. The shape of the biner fits your hand perfectly and in conjunction with grooves on the spine it makes for good handling. There are a few cons to it though. It has a very small gate opening, which can get very annoying. The gate action is also very hard and might cause a fumbled clip or two on those super sketchy sport climb. It is rated to 25kN closed gate, 10kN open gate and 7kN crossloaded. Overall a good product, but not super special

This rope is aimed at the more weight-conshious among us, and that is exactly why I love it. It is a bit stiffer than the beal Top Gun, but still handles nicely. I bought a 60M for multipitch sport and I feel that is probably what it is most suited to, but it does hold up well to abrasion so it ought to do well on light hard trad too.

Great piece of kit! It is very light-weight for the amount of light it provides. Is more than sufficient for all camping & emergency uses. I find it is comfortable to the point of wondering why this blue glow keeps following me.

I really like my Sharks. They stick like crazy when smearing. Though they are not super sensitive, they give you a fairly good idea what your feet are up to. I would probably recomend them for long medium grade climbs, as they perform well on face climbs but won't make you feel you HAVE to take them off at every opertunity. Also, They dont stretch much as they are lined. So, be carefull of buying them too small
