Had it for about 3 years, seems to work great in test scenarios, luckily I've never had to put it to the test.

A good all-round alpine tool. Not an ideal choice if you intend to do primarily water ice.

Probably the best all-round shoes I've used. I've had them now two months and they have been outstanding! Can't yet comment on the durability, which seems to be the main complaint concerning Mad Rock, but otherwise they kick ass! Much stiffer than other models of Mad Rocks (I also have the Sharks) so they edge well and work nicely for cracks.

I LOVE THESE SLINGS! I've pretty much phased out all my older slings and replaced them with these. Soo light, soo thin....

The only negative experience I've had with them is that as I climb past them they like to catch on the velcro on my shoes, much more so than nylon or spectra runners.
